Join us for a special evening with Hashi Mohamed, one of the UK's most influential voices on social mobility, immigration, diversity, and social change, in conversation with Priya Aggarwal-Shah, founder and director of PREACH Inclusion.

About the Event:

Hashi Mohamed, renowned speaker, barrister, and author of "People Like Us", will share his powerful journey and insights on identity, social change, housing and planning. In a dynamic interview with Priya Aggarwal-Shah, they will explore thought-provoking themes of diversity, integration, and the role we all play in building a more inclusive society.

What to Expect:

  • Interactive Q&A: Engage with Hashi and Priya during the Q&A session and contribute to the discussion.
  • Book Signing: An exclusive opportunity to have a copy of "People Like Us" signed by Hashi Mohamed. You can pre-purchase a copy of the book with your ticket.
  • Charity Support: As part of this event, we will be supporting Da'aro Youth Charity, a community-led organisation supporting young refugees and asylum seekers from the Horn of Africa. This charity has personally been chosen by Hashi, given his own experience as a refugee from Kenya. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go towards supporting their important work.
  • Networking: An opportunity to continue the conversation with industry connections over refreshments.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • This is a ticketed event, with a minimum payment of £5, which will go towards the Da'aro Youth Charity.
  • You are welcome to purchase Hashi’s book, ‘People Like Us’ too, for an additional £7 and you will have the opportunity to get this signed by Hashi on the evening. Books purchased on the evening will cost £10.
  • Your name will be shared with Montagu Evans for security purposes. No ticket, no admission.
  • There will be photography and videography (short reels and vox pops) taking place during the evening. If you wish not to be included in these, please let Priya Aggarwal-Shah (priya@preachinclusion.com) know.
  • The interview itself will not be filmed in full, and we kindly request our audience members do not either.
  • There will be no refunds for this event, 100% of the money will be donated to the charity. Given this is likely to be a popular event, please only register if you are sure you can attend.
