As part of the International Women's Day, UN 2024 theme 'Invest in Women', Priya Aggarwal-Shah hosted a Public Speaking masterclass, at Trident Building Consultancy.
The idea behind the workshop was about giving women agency and confidence over their voice and supporting those who are keen to do more public speaking - whether it's speaking on panel discussions, presenting to semi-large audiences, or simply gaining confidence to share one's story more, the session equipped participants with the skills to showcase the best version of themselves at events.
In this 90-minutes interactive masterclass, Priya covered:
- The power of storytelling
- Types of speaking engagements and what is right for you
- Preparing for panel discussions
- The psychology of public speaking and overcoming nerves
- Maintaining momentum after speaking events
- Interactive session where we go through some questions.
The session was aimed at those who are a few years into their careers, keen to speak on panels, yet don't quite have as much experience. In the spirit of IWD, this session was for women only, however, future sessions will be open to all genders so please email priya@preachinclusion.com to express your interest.
